Local Kroger stores host holiday coat and blanket drive
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Kroger stores across Savannah and the Lowcountry are collecting new and lightly used coats and blankets through Saturday to help individuals and families stay warm during winter months.
The three-day drive runs Friday through Saturday, December 26-28, at participating Kroger locations in Savannah, Hilton Head, Bluffton and Beaufort.
Each participating store will donate collected items to a nearby shelter or community organization to ensure donations stay within the local community and directly help area residents.
The collection drive is part of Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste commitment and offers customers a way to give back after the holiday season.
