by Shakuria Smith

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Live Oak Public Library is inviting the community to celebrate National Library Week by exploring the many resources, programs and services available across its branches.

National Library Week runs April 19 through 25 and highlights how libraries support learning, creativity and connection.

Library leaders say the week is a chance for people to discover resources for job seekers, students and lifelong learners, including career support tools and early literacy materials.

The library is also spotlighting hands-on programs and events designed to encourage creativity, including opportunities to learn to play the ukulele.

Readers can also browse the library catalog, access digital resources and visit community gardens available at select branches.

Additional services include genealogy research tools, reference support and other resources designed to help people navigate personal, educational and professional goals.

Officials say National Library Week is also a reminder for residents to sign up for a library card and explore the free tools available to the community.
