Literacy Luau to bring free books, food and family fun to Statesboro
STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - Families in Bulloch County are invited to celebrate reading at the 4th Annual Literacy Luau next week.
The free event will take place Tuesday, March 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony P. Tippins Training Center, located at 207 Lanier Drive in Statesboro, next to Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
Organizers say the event will feature interactive literacy games, activity stations, door prizes, free food and children’s books, with the Bulloch County Schools Book Bus and community literacy partners offering hands-on activities. Winners of the 6th Annual Reading Nook Photo Contest will also be announced.
Organizers say events like the Literacy Luau help promote early learning and support a stronger, literacy-focused community.
