Leopold’s Ice Cream continues ‘Greening of the milkshake’ tradition
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - After the greening of the fountain people had the chance to enjoy a sweet green treat.
The greening of the milkshake took place Friday afternoon at Leopold’s Ice Cream on Broughton Street in Savannah.
Shop owner Stratton Leopold says he enjoys sharing his love for the Saint Patrick’s Day holiday with the community.
“St. Patrick’s Day is meaningful to all of us,” said Leopold. “You were imbued with it at an early age and it has evolved to what it is today.“
The Saint Patrick’s Day Parade grand marshal Martin Hogan also joined city leaders in dying a large vanilla milkshake green.
