Last-minute Christmas shoppers pack Tanger Outlets

POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) -Tanger Outlets in Pooler was bustling at opening Sunday as last-minute shoppers hunted for bargains with four days remaining until Christmas.

Brianna Price arrived early hoping to find deals for friends, family and herself.

“I think because it was Sunday they figured it would be less busy.” Price said.

Keli Reynolds, general manager of Tanger Outlets Savannah, said she’s delighted to see crowds return to pre-pandemic levels.

“It’s wonderful to see the tradition of shopping back,” Reynolds said. “We’re seeing families, sisters, reunions, all coming to shop, fill those bags, and get great savings.”

Reynolds said she’s been doing some last-minute shopping too, taking advantage of current promotions. Brands like Polo, Nike and Tommy are offering discounts up to 40-50% off.

“The inventory and selection is perfect for anyone on your shopping list,” Reynolds said.

Price said the sales are the main draw for shoppers.

“It’s a lot of sales going on, now would really be the best time before Christmas gets here,” Price said.

Tanger Outlets expects foot traffic to increase even more in the coming days as Christmas approaches.
