LIST: Warming shelters in Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Jan. 31, Feb. 1, and Feb. 2) are all first alert weather days, and it’s possible that multiple viewers in our area may even see snow for the second year in a row.

Shelter availability is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis at most locations.

Jasper County

Kingdom Touch Ministries

Chatham County

Greenbriar Children’s Center (Primary Warming Center)

Location: 3709 Hopkins Street (gymnasium)
Hours: Saturday 7 p.m. - Sunday 7 a.m.
Hours: Sunday 7 p.m. - Monday 7 a.m.
Capacity: 160 spaces available
Pet spaces: 10 spaces for pets (under owner’s control)

Salvation Army

Location: 3100 Montgomery Street
Capacity: 8 family beds, 4 beds for women, 14 beds for men

Union Mission

Location: 120 Fahm Street
Capacity: 5 beds for women, 15 beds for men

Come As You Are

Location: 1901 Pennsylvania Avenue
Capacity: 30 beds available

Old Savannah City Mission

Location: 2414 Bull Street
Capacity: 100 spaces for men

Union Mission Grace House Day Center

Location: 120 Fahm Street
Hours: Open until 4 p.m. Saturday
Hours: Open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday

Chatham County Transportation Assistance

The Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless Outreach Team is available to assist with transportation to shelter locations:
