Kratom powder recalled due to possible health risk
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Some brands of Monarch Premium Kratom Powder have been recalled by the FDA due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, or others with weakened immune systems, the FDA says.
The FDA says the affected Monarch Premium Kratom powders were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders via the company website Bedrock Botanicals between April 2023 to September 2023.
The affected Monarch Premium Kratom brand Bali Gold, Red Bali, Green Maeng Da, and White Elephant products are packaged in multiple-sized (14-gram, 56-gram, 112-gram, 224-gram) mylar pouches.
You can see the full lot numbers and UPC codes for the recalled products on the official FDA website.
Consumers who have the affected Monarch Premium Kratom powder at home are urged not to consume products and contact support@bedrockmfg.co for a full refund.
