K-9 team helps capture fleeing suspect after pursuit near SC-170
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - A vehicle pursuit near SC-170 and SC-462 near Lowcountry Drive ended with a K-9 assisted arrest Wednesday afternoon.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputies helped the South Carolina Highway Patrol with the vehicle pursuit. Officials said the subject ran away, leading to the deployment of a K-9 track.
The K-9 team located the subject, who was taken into custody without further incident.
The coordinated effort involved multiple agencies including the Hardeeville Police Department, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Sgt. Lee Riley and K-9 Hydro participated in the operation.
