Nygel Quron King

A residence was struck multiple times by gunfire. Law enforcement said no injuries were reported, and deputies recovered 10mm shell casings and DNA evidence at the scene.

King was arrested during a traffic stop on Aug. 30 for drug-related charges and was found with a 10mm Glock handgun. During interviews, King denied involvement in the shooting but admitted ownership of the firearm.

Forensic testing by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division matched the shell casings recovered from the shooting to King’s firearm, reports the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

King was arrested on Dec. 16 and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging firearms into a dwelling.
