Injuries reported after SUV crashes into church in Port Royal
BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - A vehicle crashed into a church on Ribaut Road Tuesday afternoon, prompting a multi-unit fire department response and temporary road closures.
The City of Beaufort and Town of Port Royal Fire Department Engine Company 3 and Battalion 1 responded to the crash at 1544 Ribaut Road at approximately 12:02 p.m. The incident involved injuries, according to fire officials.

Engine Company 3 requested Ladder Company 2 to respond to the scene due to the nature of the incident.
Firefighters provided patient care and assessed damage to the church building.
Both lanes of traffic heading toward Port Royal were shut down for approximately 30 minutes during the emergency response, officials say.
