I-95 was closed in both directions after crash involving car, motorcycle

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 3:32 p.m. 10/23/2025] Traffic on I-95 is beginning to move slowly, according to WTOC crews on the scene.

[ORIGINAL STORY] I-95 is closed in both directions from the Hwy. 204 exit to near the Quacco Rd. area due to crash involving both a car and a motorcycle, the Chatham County Police Department says.

GDOT cameras show a large amount of cars are already beginning to back up.

A patient is being airlifted and the roadway is being shut down so the helicopter can land.

The CCPD asks for travelers to seek alternate routes. Drivers in the area can expect delays.
