House fire destroys home in Reidsville
REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) -A house fire destroyed a home on Alberta, Willie Robinson Road in the Manassas area Friday night after flames that started in a carport spread to engulf the entire building.
The fire was reported at around 9:25 p.m., prompting response from Tattnall County Fire, Collins Volunteer Fire Department, Roger’s State Prison Fire, and Tattnall County EMS.
All residents were safely evacuated before the first units arrived on scene. The fire had already engulfed the home by that time.
Due to the rural location, mutual aid was requested from nearby departments for water tanker support. Evans County Fire and Rescue, Reidsville Fire Department, and Cobbtown Fire Department responded to the request.
Additional departments that responded with water tankers included Bellville Fire, Claxton Fire, Hagan Fire, and Daisy Fire.
The family suffered a complete loss from the fire. The American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the displaced residents.
