House fire destroys Collins home, animals missing
COLLINS, Ga. (WTOC) - A family lost their home and several animals remain missing after a house fire Tuesday morning on Hickory Hollow Lane, the Reidsville Fire Department said.
Emergency crews were called to the residential fire around 10:25 a.m. The first firefighters to arrive found heavy flames coming from the home.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, including Reidsville Fire Department, Collins Fire Department, Tattnall County Fire, Rogers State Prison Fire, and Smith State Prison Fire. Tattnall County EMS also responded.
Fire controlled in 25 minutes

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within about 25 minutes. Crews remained at the scene for several hours to extinguish hot spots and complete cleanup operations.
No people were injured in the fire. However, the family is concerned about several animals that have not been found since the fire.
The home suffered significant damage from the fire, smoke, and water used to fight the blaze. The Reidsville Fire Department said the house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
