Heartwarming reunion for Savannah military family caught on camera
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah family shared a heartwarming moment with WTOC after being reunited with their First Class Airman.
A Savannah mother, Karisma was surprised by her family with the return of her son Kristan Porter before he heads out to Germany for the next three years.
He’s back home for a few weeks after deployment and wanted to make his coming home surprise very special.
“We are very proud of him. He’s been doing an outstanding job and he’s going to be doing great things,” said Kristan’s father, Kevin Porter.
“It’s a hard surprise to keep but I feel like we did a good job and her reaction was very worth it and it meant a lot to me to be able to do this for my mom. With him being the youngest sibling that we have, and her youngest child, it’s like watching the baby go away, and he’s just living proof that their nest is officially empty so I’m just happy that I was able to do that for them,” said Kristan’s sister, Alexius Wright.
WTOC sends Kristan a big thank you for his service and to his family for letting us be apart of their special moment.
