Hearing postponed for man accused of killing local veteran; family vows to seek justice
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The probable cause hearing for the man accused of shooting and killing a veteran just hours after Veterans’ Day, was postponed and rescheduled Wednesday.

45-year-old Jeremy Scarth was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting outside of Lucky’s Pub that killed DeAngelo Shaw.
Family and friends of Shaw arrived at the courthouse ahead of the hearing, including two of Shaw’s daughters.
Although the proceedings were delayed, those who loved Shaw say they plan to attend every hearing until they see accountability.

“We’re going to be here every hearing until DeAngelo gets the justice he deserves,” a family member said outside the courthouse.
James Collins, partner with the Heroes in the Sky Foundation, said Scarth should be held responsible for the impact of his actions.
“Make him face the music... the reality of what his actions did,” Collins said. “There have got to be ramifications for what he did. He has got to see the people that he touched and what his actions did. Without accountability there will always be these problems.”
Court records show the probable cause hearing was moved to Dec. 17.
Additional pretrial proceedings and any future court dates will be set by the Chatham County court system.
Shaw’s loved ones say they will continue to seek answers and justice as the case moves through the legal process.
