Hampton County deputies searching for escaped detention center inmate

HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - Hampton County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for an escaped inmate from the Hampton County Detention Center.

Officials identified the inmate as Juwann Eady, 22, described as a male standing about 6’1” and weighing approximately 174 pounds. Law enforcement officers are actively working to locate and apprehend him.

At this time, the sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the escape.

The public is urged to use caution and not approach Eady.

Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately, submit a tip through the sheriff’s office mobile app or website, or contact the anonymous tip line at 1-866-942-1120.
