Hampton County Sheriff to hold press conference on public safety after recent shootings
HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference to provide a “public safety update regarding recent shooting incidents in Hampton County,” according to a media release WTOC just received.
Sheriff Russell will address public concerns, discuss ongoing public safety efforts, and respond to questions from members of the media.
The press conference will be held on January 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office located at 411 Cemetery Road in Varnville, South Carolina.
WTOC plans to attend the conference and will provide more updates once the event has concluded.
