Georgia governor candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms set to visit Savannah Tuesday

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - On Tuesday, former Atlanta Mayor and Georgia governor candidate, Keisha Lance Bottoms, is set to stop in the hostess city.

Bottoms will join Savannah Mayor Van Johnson to visit local small businesses and hold a meet-and-greet in Savannah.

The stops are part of Bottoms’ gubernatorial campaign’s “Standing Up for Georgia” tour across the state.

Mayors Bottoms and Johnson will kick off the day with a Savannah small business walk, visiting African goods store Diaspora Marketplace at and local restaurant Kim’s Cafe.

Later in the evening, Johnson and Bottoms will host a meet and greet with Savannah community members at Temple of Glory Community Church.

Bottoms is traveling the state for her “Standing Up for Georgia Tour” this summer and fall, where she is hearing directly from Georgians on what matters most to them and discussing her plans as governor to stand up for Georgians and make the state more affordable.

Bottoms and Johnson previously served together as mayors.
