GSP investigating fatal hit-and-run on Quacco Road
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One person is dead after a fatal hit-and-run Sunday morning.
Georgia State Patrol says Savannah Police asked for assistance after a male was found lying in the middle of the private entrance to the Quacco Village Mobile Home Park.
The exact time of the incident is not known.
Preliminary information indicates 55-year-old Gerardo Andrade De La Cruz was run over by a vehicle while lying on the roadway where he was found.
Officials say De La Cruz was homeless and there is no description of what kind of vehicle was involved.
The investigation is ongoing.
