From local stars to lasting legacies: Enmarket Arena unveils new home for Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame is getting a new permanent home inside Enmarket Arena, and city leaders, athletes, and community members are invited to celebrate the unveiling this week.
The official unveiling ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 14 at 5 p.m. at the arena on Stiles Avenue in Savannah.
The new display will feature plaques recognizing athletes from the Savannah area who have made lasting impacts in sports and the community. Organizers say the exhibit is designed to preserve and celebrate the region’s rich athletic history for future generations.
City of Savannah leaders, representatives from the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame, inductees, and other honored guests are expected to attend the event.
The unveiling marks a new chapter for the Hall of Fame, giving residents and visitors a permanent space to recognize local athletic excellence inside one of Savannah’s premier entertainment venues.
