Former Vice President brings book tour to Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Former Vice President Kamala Harris made a visit to the Hostess City Friday night. Savannah is the final stop on her book tour.
She took part in a conversation at the Johnny Mercer Theatre, and James Beard Award winning chef Mashama Bailey served as moderator.
During the event, Harris shared insight from her book “107 Days.” The book discusses the 107 days she ran for president after then-President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.
During the discussion Harris also spoke about the importance of the midterm elections, especially in Georgia. She shared her endorsement of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff returning to the Senate. And she endorsed Jen Jordan and Miracle Rankin for the Georgia Supreme Court.
Harris shared her opinion on President Trump and recent foreign affairs. She closed out the night taking questions from the audience and encouraged people to connect with their neighbors.
Friday, the Republican National Convention released a statement in response to Harris’ visit saying, “No one cares what Harris has to say.”
Georgians are still paying the price for Kamala Harris and Jon Ossoff’s agenda, from open borders to Bidenomics. No one cares what Harris has to say, and no one trusts Ossoff to put them ahead of the radical left.
