Former Bulloch Co. Tennis Instructors’ case heads to jury trial in coming weeks
BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A former Bulloch County tennis Supervisor and Pro was back in court recently for a hearing in front of the judge.
The tennis instructor was arrested several months ago, accused of sexually inappropriate conduct with his female subordinates.
Court records reveal the case is now headed to trial & will most likely begin early next year.
He’s still facing 2 counts of sexual battery, but is out on bond.

63-year-old Barron Gillis used to work at the Mill Creek Recreational Park, teaching youth lessons and hosting camps at the tennis complex.
That is, until his arrest in mid-July of this year.
He’s accused of inappropriately touching two of his younger female employees on the inner thighs, breasts, and backside, without their consent, while they worked for him.
He was fired following his arrest & bonded out a month later.

As of Tuesday, December 9th, all of the discovery in the case is complete, no motions are outstanding, and the only step left is a jury trial.
No date for that trial has been set yet, but we will be sure to keep you updated.
