Flaming car extinguished by CCFD in new video showing firefighter response from beginning to end
CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A video shared on social media by the Chatham County Fire Department showcases the team’s response to a car fire on December 17, 2025.
The video, which you can view above or by clicking here to go to the CCFD Facebook page, shows crews leaving the station and driving to the scene, where they encounter a red vehicle engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
After reaching the fire and assembling their gear, the video then shows firefighters stepping close to the burning car and extinguishing the fire with water as flames and sparks erupt from all sides of the vehicle.
The Chatham County Fire Department says this incident occurred at approximately 8:33 p.m. on Diggs Ave. & ACL Blvd.
