Fire damages two-story home on Hilton Head Island
HILTON HEAD, S.C. (WTOC) - A fire damaged a two-story home on Marshland Road Sunday morning, prompting a response from Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue.
Fire Rescue received a call about smoke coming from the residence at 10:49 a.m. The first unit arrived on scene at 10:55 a.m.
Officers found heavy fire coming from both floors of the two-story over parking residence. The fire was brought under control in under an hour and declared out at 1:29 p.m.
Three animals were rescued safely from the house. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
