Fight at Groves High addressed by SCCPSS
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham Public School System has issued a media advisory regarding a video that is being shared on social media of a fight between multiple students at Groves High School.
SCCPSS says, “The fight, which happened just before 11:00 a.m. today, was isolated between a few students and was broken up by school staff and BOEPD.” (Board of Education Police Department)
The school system says there were no injuries reported and school operations continue as normal.
“The district does not condone this behavior and the three students involved will face administrative consequences as outlined in our student code of conduct,” SCCPSS said in its statement. “Based on initial review of available information, this altercation did not rise to the level of any criminal charges."
SCCPSS notes that this is preliminary information and it is subject to change.
