SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - It’s a busy weekend in Savannah and law enforcement is warning drivers about several possible delays.

This weekend Savannah will serve as host to Savannah State University’s annual Homecoming Parade, the SCAD Film Fest, the 2025 Pride Festival, Wag-O-Ween and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Each of these will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025.

Things to know ahead of the weekend

Traffic will be rerouted on several Downtown Savannah streets in preparation for Savannah State University’s 2025 Homecoming Parade. The parade begins at 9 a.m., and no parking zones will take effect as early as 12:01 a.m.

The staging area is located on East Broad Street and runs from East Gwinnett to Liberty streets. The parade begins on East Broad Street at Liberty, then travels north to Broughton Street, west to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and then south to West Gwinnett Street before it disbands on May Street and Anderson Street.

This event will impact Downtown traffic flow as well as residential and visitor parking. Parking will be impacted within the staging area and along the parade route.

No parking zones will be marked prior to the parade. Notices will be posted in impacted areas throughout the rest of the week. Vehicles remaining in no parking zones after the indicated times will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Congestion in the affected areas is expected to be very heavy until after 1 p.m.
