Evacuation orders, curfew due to wildfires lifted in Brantley Co.
BRANTELY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Evacuation orders impacting residents in Brantely County due to the wildfires have been lifted.
According to a post from the Brantely County Sheriff’s Office Sunday, only areas around Zones 23 and 24 (hunting clubs) remain active fire zones and residents are asked to avoid these areas.

All roads have reopened except for Highway 32, where some restrictions still apply and the countywide curfew has been lifted.
Officials say The American Red Cross shelter in Brunswick has closed, and other local temporary shelters are beginning to wind down.
Donations and distribution are still being coordinated primarily through Brantley Family Connection, with Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church also assisting in distributing donations to those in need.
Officials say more information on resources and next steps will be shared soon.
