Emergency crews looking for evidence on River Street
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A large presence of emergency personnel was out on River Street Sunday afternoon.
According to Savannah Police, Savannah Fire, Forensics, Chatham Marine Patrol and the Savannah Police Dive Team were out “looking for evidence in an open investigation” in the river near the Hyatt Regency.

Officials did not provide any more specifics on the situation, but said there was no risk to the public.
