Downtown McDonald’s celebrates Savannah police with community events during Police Week
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A local McDonald’s is showing appreciation for Savannah police officers during National Police Week.
The McDonald’s on Broughton Street will host two events to honor members of the Savannah Police Department and give the community a chance to connect with officers.
On Tuesday, May 12, uniformed SPD officers are invited to receive a free Value Meal during lunch hours at the restaurant.
The location will also host Coffee with a Cop on Thursday, May 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet local officers, ask questions and talk with them over McCafé coffee.
Both events will take place at the McDonald’s at 246 W. Broughton St. in Savannah.
Owner and operator Aaron Eubank said National Police Week is a meaningful opportunity to thank local officers for their service and provide a relaxed space for residents and law enforcement to connect.
National Police Week is observed across the country to honor officers who have died in the line of duty and to support those who continue to serve.
