Downtown Live returns to Statesboro with 70’s Kids concert
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Statesboro is bringing back its popular Downtown Live Concert Series with a night of nostalgia, music, and community this week.
The next installment of the 4th Annual Downtown Live Concert Series is set for Thursday, April 30, in Historic Downtown Statesboro, featuring the band 70’s Kids for the first time in the lineup.
Known for their high-energy performances, 70’s Kids deliver a full 1970s throwback experience, blending disco, yacht rock, and iconic hits from the era. The show recreates the sights and sounds of the decade with colorful visuals and crowd-engaging entertainment.
Organizers say attendees can expect a lively, family-friendly atmosphere filled with familiar songs and a strong sense of nostalgia. From bell-bottom vibes to classic dance hits, the performance is designed to keep audiences of all ages moving.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, dress for the theme, and enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of downtown.
The Downtown Live series continues throughout the spring and early summer with additional performances, including a Taylor Swift tribute show on May 14, a Y2K-themed concert on May 28, and returning favorites like The Tams and Papa Sol in June.
Admission is free and open to the public. Food trucks will begin serving at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Local restaurants will also be open nearby for attendees.
