Dave Turley’s First Alert Weather forecast for Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025
High pressure will influence our weather through Thursday. This will keep us pretty quiet with seasonable temps today then above average today and Thursday. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s with feels like temps into the low 100s. Our average high is 85. A cold front moves in Friday into Saturday with a much better chance for showers and storms. The weekend will see a slightly better rain chance Saturday than Sunday with seasonable temps. The front should stall just to our east into next week. This should help to keep whatever tries to develop in the Atlantic off our coast. Right now it looks like Invest 94L will stay just to our east but will need to monitored closely. We’ll keep the forecast mainly dry with seasonable temps. This may change some make sure to get daily updates.

Tropical Weather Outlook: Hurricane Gabrielle is located over the central subtropical Atlantic. Gabrielle is forecast to slowly weaken and move towards the Azores Friday. Low pressure(Invest 93L) is located several hundred miles east of the Lesser Antilles. Thunderstorm activity has increased and there is a 90% chance for tropical development over the next 7 days as the system generally moves west-northwestward across the central Atlantic. This system will come close to Bermuda but is NO threat to the US. A tropical wave(Invest 94L) located over the northeastern Caribbean Sea is producing disorganized showers and storms. There is an 80% chance for tropical development as the system moves towards the Bahamas over the next 7 days. This system will need to be monitored as some computer models bring it near our area next week. It’s too early to say for certain so make sure to get daily updates.
