High pressure will influence our weather this week. This will keep us pretty quiet with seasonable temps and mostly dry conditions. Low pressure will slowly move away from the mid Atlantic coast into Thursday. Our average high is 86. We do start to get a little more humidity by the end of the week as temps warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s. There is less than a 10% chance for a shower through Saturday. A cold front is forecast to move in Saturday night and stall over the area into Tuesday. This will bring a chance for showers and possible storms and slightly cooler temps. Fall officially begins Monday at 2:19pm.

Tropical Storm Gabrielle has formed in the central Atlantic. Gabrielle is forecast to become a hurricane this weekend. Computer models turn this system to the north then northeast next week and it does NOT look to be a threat to the US. A tropical wave is located just east of the Cabo Verde Islands. There is a 20% chance for tropical development over the next 7 days as the system generally moves westward
