Dave Turley’s First Alert Weather forecast for Tuesday, January 20, 2026

by Dave Turley, Jamie Ertle

A dry cold front will continue to push south of the area today. This will keep us with below average temps with highs only in the low to mid 50s. Our average high is 61. Clouds increase Wednesday with highs around 60. More clouds Thursday but highs warm into the mid to upper 60s. Friday will see lots of clouds with a slight rain chance and warmer temps in the upper 60s. Another cold front moves through late Friday. This will bring in colder air for the weekend. There is a lot of uncertainty in the weekend forecast. Low pressure will impact the area and bring a good chance for rain. Sunday is a First Alert WX Day as there is a possibility that rain may change to freezing rain early Sunday morning. Sunday afternoon should be wet but okay for travel as temps will warm into the mid to upper 40s. Temps drop below freezing again Sunday night so icy roads will be a concern. Monday is also a First Alert WX Day. Precipitation may continue over night Sunday into Monday morning. IF this happens freezing rain is again possible. Computer models are not in agreement on how long the moisture sticks around so stay tuned for further updates. High pressure builds in with dry weather and cold temps to start next week.
