Coroner IDs 2 killed in Lexington County crash on Christmas Eve

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - The Lexington County coroner has identified the two people who died after a crash in Lexington County on Christmas Eve.

The coroner has positively identified the two people as Gloria Martinez Alonso, 24, and Elisa Martinez, 1.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Wednesday the wreck happened around 11:30 p.m. on S.C. 602/Platt Springs Road near Dari June Road.

Troopers said a 2016 Cadillac SUV was going west in the eastbound lane of Platt Springs Road when it collided with a 2010 Ford Focus.

The driver and a back-seat passenger of the Ford died at the scene. A front seat passenger of the Ford and the driver of the Cadillac were taken to hospitals. No word was provided on their condition.
