Consulate General of Mexico shares number of Mexican nationals detained in Hyundai megasite ICE raid
BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Consulate General of Mexico gave more details after 475 individuals were arrested in Thursday’s raid at the Hyundai megasite.

Earlier this week, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Steven Schrank said this was the largest single-site operation in the history of Homeland Security Investigations in the country.

According to Schrank, a majority of those arrested were Korean nationals.
In a social media post, the Consulate General of Mexico said that of the 475 people detained Thursday, only 23 of them were Mexican nationals.
The majority of those arrested were taken to the Folkston ICE Processing Center.
The Consulate General said staff went to the center to aid those who requested individual interviews, help inform their families and provide legal aid. According to the consulate, the majority of those detained decided to sign their voluntary departure and are expected to return to Mexico in the coming days.
