Community vigil for beloved Savannah teacher changes location
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) [UPDATE 2:30 p.m.] - A planned vigil for Dr. Linda Davis Thursday evening has been moved to a new location.
In a flyer for the community-organized prayer vigil, organizers say the event will take place outside the Chatham County Police Station at 9306 Whitfield Ave Thursday evening at 5 p.m.

[ORIGINAL STORY] A planned vigil for Dr. Linda Davis has been rescheduled to allow more time for planning.
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System said school officials were informed that the community vigil Thursday evening at Hesse K-8 School will no longer take place as planned.
Vigil organizers told SCCPSS staff they plan to reschedule the vigil to allow more time for planning to ensure everyone who wishes to attend will have appropriate space.
Dr. Linda Davis, a special education teacher at Hesse K-8, was killed in a car crash by a man fleeing ICE agents Feb. 16 near Truman and Whitefield Avenue, just minutes from the school where she worked.
The community vigil was not organized or sponsored by SCCPSS. A previously scheduled basketball game was relocated to accommodate the planned vigil and will now be moved back to Hesse K-8 School.
