City of Hardeeville awards $141K in education and workforce training grants for 2025
HARDEEVILLE, SC. (WTOC) -The City of Hardeeville and the Hardeeville Community Transformation Foundation have awarded $141,795 in education and workforce training grants for 2025, supporting 11 organizations serving the greater Hardeeville region.
The annual grant program supports schools, nonprofits, colleges, and workforce training centers across Jasper and Beaufort counties. Funding is distributed through a competitive process focused on strengthening education, job readiness, and long-term economic resilience.
City Manager Josh Gruber, who also serves as president of the Foundation, said the investments reflect the city’s commitment to building a skilled and prepared workforce as Hardeeville continues to grow. City leaders emphasized that the selected organizations align closely with local priorities for sustainable growth and quality of life.
Assistant City Manager Neil Parsons highlighted the regional impact of the grants, noting that recipients play a critical role across the education pipeline, from early childhood learning to advanced workforce and vocational training.

City officials say the grants are expected to have a meaningful impact in the coming year by expanding access to education, improving facilities, and strengthening workforce pathways throughout the region.
