Chatham County MPC seeks public input on future growth plan
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission is asking for public feedback on draft updates to the Comprehensive Plan for Chatham County, Savannah and Garden City.
The plan helps guide growth, development and preservation across the region. It must be updated every five years to meet state requirements and maintain eligibility for certain funding and permitting programs.
The updated Plan 2045 outlines priorities including housing, land use, transportation, natural resources, economic development and overall quality of life.
Officials say community input is key before the plan is finalized.
