Candler Co. police report ‘a massive wood fire’ in Metter
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Candler County Sheriff’s Office reported assisting the Metter Fire-Rescue Department with what law enforcement called ‘a massive wood fire’.


Officers reported the fire occurred in near the intersection of Mt. Olive and Gibson Roads, just outside of Metter, in Candler County.

Police advised motorists to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
In a social media post, they warned that smoke may be visible in the area.
