Candidate for GA governor kicks off health care tour in Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Candidate for governor Geoff Duncan stopped in Savannah to kick off his statewide ‘Protect Georgians’ Health Care" Tour.
Former Republican Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan is now running for governor on the democratic ticket. He says his tour is all about highlighting the Trump administration’s attacks on health care in Georgia.
Wednesday, Duncan took part in a health care roundtable where he promised to bring health care costs down and protect local hospitals as governor. He says he also wants to expand health care to rural communities.
“I am laser focused on affordability, health care and Donald Trump. And that’s what I believe most Georgians are concerned about,” said Duncan.
Duncan’s “Protect Georgians’ Health Care” Tour will also hold events in Homerville, Clarkston, Macon, Albany and Augusta.
Duncan is one of several democratic candidates running for Georgia governor. Other democratic candidates include:

- State Representative Derrick Jackson
- State Representative Ruwa Romman
