CAT starts weekly Friday job fairs to recruit bus operators

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham Area Transit Authority is launching a weekly job fair to recruit full-time and part-time bus operators.

The hiring event begins Friday, March 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the CAT Central Office, located at 900 E. Gwinnett St.

The weekly job fair will give applicants the chance to learn about careers with CAT, meet with staff, and begin the application process. Representatives from the agency’s operations team will also be available to answer questions about qualifications, training, benefits, and the responsibilities of becoming a bus operator.

CAT officials say similar hiring events have helped connect job seekers with careers in public transit.
