Boat overturns in Moon River/Skidaway River area, operator rescued
CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Law enforcement is working to remove a boat in the Moon River/Skidaway River area after it overturned Wednesday night.
The boat operator was rescued in the river near Burnside Island, taken to a local hospital and has since returned home, according to Chatham County Police.
The Chatham County Police Department said the U.S. Coast Guard has been alerted and will be marking the area so boaters nearby are aware as they approach.
