Bloomingdale manufacturer Aerotech Machining earns national Top Shops honor
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Aerotech Machining has earned national recognition as a 2025 Top Shops Honoree in Machining Technology, an honor awarded by Modern Machine Shop.
The Bloomingdale-based manufacturer was recognized for its approach to workforce training, technology investment, and shopfloor practices, placing it among a select group of manufacturing companies honored nationwide in the 2025 Top Shops program.
According to Modern Machine Shop, Aerotech’s apprenticeship program plays a key role in its operations, introducing new hires to machining fundamentals in a classroom setting before transitioning them to hands-on work on the shop floor. Employees advance from manual machines to CNC equipment under the guidance of experienced machinists.
The publication also cited Aerotech’s use of advanced CNC technology, including machines equipped with SmoothAI controls designed to improve precision and efficiency. The company manufactures components primarily for the aerospace industry, with additional work supporting agriculture, rail, and power generation.
Aerotech Machining has operated in Bloomingdale for more than 30 years, serving regional, national, and international customers.
