SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah job seekers will have the opportunity to connect with more than 75 employers at a free Career and Resource Fair hosted by Economic Opportunity for Savannah-Chatham County, Inc..

The event is set for Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alee Shriners Temple, 100 Eisenberg Drive, and is open to the public. Organizers say the fair will feature some of the region’s largest employers and fastest-growing industries.

Expected employers include Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, Georgia Ports Authority, Georgia Southern University, FedEx Ground, JCB, Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai Transys, Brasseler USA, SNF Holding Company and Thunderbolt Marine, along with dozens of other local and regional companies.

“The Economic Opportunity Career and Resource Fair is a great opportunity for job seekers to connect directly with employers that are currently hiring in our region,” said Workforce Development Coordinator Gloria Johnson. “With past fairs, we have seen job seekers receive offers on the spot, schedule interviews and learn from employers about future opportunities.”

A full list of participating employers is available at risesavannah.com.

The fair is held in partnership with Alee Shriners, Regional Industry Support Enterprise and the City of Savannah. Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and dress professionally.
