Atlanta police officer arrested, charged with animal cruelty
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An Atlanta police officer is on unpaid leave after being arrested for aggravated animal cruelty earlier this week.
Zabria Bridges, 26, was taken into custody in Douglas County on Tuesday, according to the county’s jail records.
Atlanta police said they’re also conducting their own investigation into Bridges’ alleged actions.
“The Atlanta Police Department holds its personnel to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty,” the department said in a statement.
