Arrest made in armed robbery at Bank of America on Victory Dr.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 12:25 p.m. 10/24/2025] The Savannah Police Department has arrested 37-year-old Eric J. Williams in connection to an armed robbery at the Bank of America on East Victory Drive.

Officers responded to the Bank of America at about 3:40 p.m. Right before they arrived, Williams left the scene and tried to steal two vehicles.

Williams was later taken into custody by Savannah Police patrol units. He has been charged with felony armed robbery.

Savannah Police was assisted by the FBI, Chatham County Police Department and Thunderbolt Police, as well as K-9 officers from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Deputies from the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to a reported robbery at the Bank of America, located at 2153 East Victory Drive in Savannah, Thursday afternoon.

According to CCSO, deputies immediately initiated an investigation and are currently questioning a potential person of interest.

The office says updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.
