4 arrests made following months-long investigation into Westlake shooting case

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County Police announced four suspects have been arrested in connection to a shooting at the Westlake Apartments that left five people injured back in March.

All suspects were booked into the Chatham County Detention Center at the time of their arrest, except for one.

These arrests have taken place over the course of the past four months.

• 18-year-old Jaidyn Greene was arrested on May 8th.
• 24-year-old Jamond Reid was arrested on June 10th.
• 30-year-old Yousef Jenkins was arrested on June 23rd.
• 36-year-old Cleveland Dunham was arrested on August 18th.

This announcement is just being made now, “due to the complexity of the investigation, and the ties that one suspect has to a high-profile homicide case,” wrote police.

“Our community can rest assured that Chatham County Police Department detectives are diligent, determined, and equipped with the knowledge they need to solve difficult cases,” said Chatham County Police Department Chief Jeff Hadley. “No one should ever assume that a case has gone cold or has been forgotten in unincorporated Chatham County. We are always working, and our end goal is always justice.”

A suspect in the Westlake shooting is also facing charging in connection to a deadly shooting on Highway 204 near Interstate 95 back on July 25, 2024.

Police said 24-year-old Jamond Reid is one of the three suspects charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the shooting death of 25-year-old Tre’von Moorer.

Moorer was stopped at a traffic light when he was approached by armed individuals and shot. Chatham County Police announced the charges against Reid in this case in August.

Chatham County Police said two others were also charged in this crime, an additional suspect died at another shooting before warrants were served.

The Westlake Apartments case is still an active and ongoing investigation, and the Chatham County Police Department says they will not have further comment at this time.
