Chase ends in crash on I-95

Immediately following the October 5 shooting, deputies were provided with a description of the vehicle believed to be involved. Deputies located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The vehicle failed to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit southbound on Interstate 95, which ended when the vehicle crashed.

Three individuals were taken into custody, including Reyli Cisnero, 20, and two juveniles.

Reyli Cisnero, 20

Charges filed

Cisnero was charged with failure to stop for blue lights, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, discharging firearms into a dwelling, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, breach of peace, aggravated in nature, and unlawful storage, keeping, or possession of a machine gun, sawed-off shotgun, or rifle.

The two juveniles were charged with discharging firearms into a dwelling, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, breach of peace, aggravated in nature, unlawful storage, keeping, or possession of a machine gun, sawed-off shotgun, or rifle, and sale or delivery of a pistol to, and possession by, certain persons unlawful.

Deputies recovered four firearms, including a Glock 17 9mm, two AR-15-style rifles, and an AK-style 7.62 pistol.

Sheriff calls for end to violence

Sheriff Chris Malphrus emphasized the importance of ending the cycle of retaliation and allowing law enforcement to continue investigating the incidents.

“There is no reason to continue this cycle of violence. Our agencies are working together to investigate these incidents and hold those responsible accountable. Retaliating with more gunfire only puts innocent people at risk and makes it more difficult for law enforcement to properly investigate these cases. We are asking everyone involved to stop the violence and allow our agencies to do the job we are here to do,” Malphrus said.
