2nd crash on I-16 near Highway 17 today closes all westbound lanes again

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 3:46 p.m.] Another wreck has occurred on I-16 WB near the SR 17 intersection, according to GDOT.

Currently, GDOT lists the estimated end time of this new crash delay on I-16 as 4:24 p.m.

[UPDATE 10:01 a.m.] GDOT traffic shows the overturned vehicle on I-16 has been cleared and traffic has resumed normally.

The crash on I-16 was originally estimated to be cleared at 10:45 a.m.

[ORIGINAL STORY] There is currently an overturned vehicle on I-16 Westbound at SR 17, according to GDOT.

All westbound lanes are closed at this time. Use caution and expect delays if traveling in the area. WTOC crews have witnessed major traffic in the Highway 17 area.
