21-Year-Old Killed in Friday night E. Victory Drive Shooting
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One person was shot and killed Friday evening in Savannah, according to the Chatham County Coroner’s Office.
Authorities identified the victim as 21-year-old Nejeh Williams. Officials say Williams was shot at least once in the 1800 block of East Victory Drive.
Williams was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Savannah police say a person of interest has been detained, and a firearm was recovered at the scene. However, investigators have not released additional details about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
An autopsy has been scheduled, and officials say the case remains in the early stages of the investigation.
